Freemindfade,
Remember in 2004 when he warned the entire Indian Ocean?
And the Philippines in 2013 not to mention tornados striking the Bible believing Midwestern states.
dubs in a pro-jw forum are talking about the earthquake in kamchatka russia.
they are speculating that this is jehovah's warning to putin.
what kind of twisted logic is this?.

Jehovah is sending a warning to Putin--so say jw's
As for sending a warning to Putin, the Witnesses have no idea whom they're dealing with. It appears that the JWs in Russia need protection from their own headquarters.

To the person who down voted sir82, That is exactly what many Conservative/Fundamentalist/Dominionist Christians believe. For example, Kevin Swanson who said that Hurricane Sandy and California's earthquakes were punishment by God because both of those states are liberal.
apparently jehalapeno isn't a 2nd amendment supporter either.... .
july 17 questions from readers.... the way this part is worded screams cult to me, i was quite amused.. how a christian chooses to protect himself, his family, or his possessions is, of course, largely a personal matter, as is his choice of employment.. geee!
thanks watchtower for allowing me to "largely chose my own employment" you are a generous cult lol.
A Glock 17 is a good basic handgun to have around when the Witnesses pay you a visit.
publication, that is?.
i just found all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial in storage.
i enjoyed studying it, as well as make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine.. our thinking has changed, of course, but, back then, did you have a wt publication you especially liked?.
tiki,
I did like the old Babylon book..the red one....
If I recall correctly, it was the Babble-on book that brought up how the cross was a pagan symbol derived from the Ankh which in turn was derived from a stylistic representation of male and female genitalia.
fictional apostate takeover campaign.
stage #1.. what if in a town that had a particularly large amount of apostates and ex-jw's, over a period of a few months, they started going to a small congregation.
either pretending they were bible studies or just returning jw's, they got good standing in the congregation, priveleges etc.
lately my mom's gotten into all kinds of weird "power of positive thinking" kind of stuff.
she watches "the secret" and bob proctor videos all the time, and now she's trying to get me into it.
to me her being into this sort of thing seems kind of hypocritical.
It seems that your mother is not happy with her life. She's not getting anything out of that 'spiritual food' so she turns to anything that she thinks will lessen her misery.
Think of yourself first and look forward to the day you'll be free.

Eva and snowbird, the Aid book was in the top three for me. Even my judicial committee recommended it for study while disfellowshipped.
I heard that Raymond Franz had a large part in its creation.

CoCo,
Make Sure of All Things, Hold Fast to What Is Fine.
That was my favorite. It got down to basic scriptures. The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life (The blue bomb) was my second favorite. I ordered it in 60+ languages (which got tossed after I learned about TTATT). The funny thing that I saw was the Russian version which had the word Pravda on the spine.
